My name is Brian Smothers. I am currently serving a 16 to life sentence at the London Correctional Institute in London Ohio. I have been incarcerated for coming up on 7 years in January 2025. I spent 4 years and 8 months fighting my case in county jail, and now I am working on my appeal. This is my first time in prison. Before this, the first trouble I was in was 33 days in county over a weed ticket and a few overnights for public intoxication. I worked as a machinist in the north side of Cincinnati before being locked up. I am the father of three fantastic children who are my world, and that I miss more than words could ever express. I enjoy movies, music, poetry, cooking, writing, and working out. I am looking for someone to correspond with, perhaps chat on the phone with, and if there is connection, possibly meet in the future. I consider myself to be a caring and understanding person. I try to stay positive and upbeat, but on my down days it would be nice to have someone who can lift my spirits just as I hope to do for you. I am six foot tall with a large build, no petite twig here. I have a shaved head and numerous tattoos, all of which I got before coming to prison.
