Hello, I’m West.

    In my experience, good communication can deepen and enrich a relationship. Active listening is one of the most underused but most important skills. Effective communication starts with effective listening. When we listen for what is felt, as well as for what is said, we connect more deeply to the needs and emotions of other people. Listening strengthens us, informs us, and makes it easier for others to hear us. I love meeting new people and appreciate engaging with women.

I’m very receptive to different opinions and am empathetic to other peoples’ needs, feelings, and ideas. I enjoy listening. There is value in understanding other people’s viewpoints. Hearing new ideas and perspectives is an important way that we all learn. Being considerate of others’ opinions earns you their respect. I’m on a learning journey and I’m open to being taught in a two-way exchange of information.

   I also have learned that, in relationships, a lack of understanding about differing needs can result in distance, arguments, and break-ups. When you can recognize the legitimacy of conflicting needs and becoming willing to examine them in an environment of compassionate understanding. It opens pathways to creative problem solving, team building, and improved relationship bonds. Deep human connections can allow you to open up, feel truly supported, make you feel closer to someone, expand your social group, and improve your confidence and make you happier.

Personal growth and self-development are not just about me! Understanding how other people feel can deepen every relationship in my life which allows me to bring more to the table when bonding with others. No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another. Man’s goodness is a flame that can be hidden but never extinguished.
