This is the first penpal profile I’ve ever created. I grew up in a small town in the middle of Illinois, enjoying my families horses, and then I eventually began “showing” horses even into adulthood. I also helped youth enjoy the sport. I’m not currently in a place to fund that “hobby” anymore, so the great outdoors is my place to thrive. I was married for three years, but, we didn’t bring any children into the world. I do look forward to being a dad one day, as I know how rewarding raising children can be.

    Thankfully, I was given a great childhood, with my “love tank” filled up. So, I’ve learned to be a good listener and good friend, without attaching any crazy neediness nor any obsessive/compulsive habits. Cooking is a hobby which I also find great reward in producing for others to enjoy & keeping a balance in making meals healthy is also important. I’ve also maintained employment at McDonald’s for 13 years, operating there in all aspects except for a general manager and accountant. I also transport vehicles for trade shows and other events. Workaholic might be a genetic trait… as my dear old mother is 77-years-old and still works full-time, and not because she has to.

    My future plans include staying near my folks to return the favor for their investment in my great childhood. Middle America suits me because I see the folks as more genuine compared to a large-city type of life. Maybe that stable background is what made me a “people person” and how I can help other people see how good life can be without all of todays crazy, anything-goes lifestyle. I am 45 years old with hazel-colored eyes. I graduated from high-school in the mid 90s and my favorite vehicle is a 1/2 ton Chevy pickup.
